By accessing the websites at www.multecihaklari.info and www.refugeerights.info, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms of service, all applicable laws, and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in these websites are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on Refugee Solidarity Network (RSN) and Refugee Rights Turkey’s (RRT) websites for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license, you may not:

  • use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York in the United States, the laws of the Republic of Turkey, and the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the relevant Country, State, or location.

Privacy Policy

We value your trust and take your privacy and protection of user information seriously. Furthermore, we treat user information as private and confidential. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how we treat user information collected via our websites.

What Information We Collect and How We Use User Information

Tracking Information

When you access our websites, we capture, record and retain general data about your use of our websites including, without limitation, your domain name, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the name and location of the web page from which you entered our websites, the locations you visit within our websites and the amount of time you spend on each page of our websites (collectively, “Tracking Information”). We use Tracking Information to help administer, update and enhance our websites.

“Cookies” are pieces of data sent from a web server to a web browser that enable a web server to identify users that visit a websites hosted by the server. The RSN and RRT websites uses Google Analytics cookies to help us analyze how visitors use the site. At your discretion, you may configure your web browser not to accept cookies from our websites. European Data Collection Rights

RSN and RRT may serve individuals from within the European Economic Area (“EEA”).  In order to carry out work with these individuals, we may transfer personal information from individuals (“Data Subjects”) located within the EEA.  Personal information that may be collected by us from a Data Subject in the EEA includes IP addresses of users and information provided by tracking cookies about how users interact with our websites.

All individuals whose personal information is held by RSN and RRT have the right to:

  • ask what information RSN and RRT holds about them and why;
  • ask for a copy of such information or access to such information;
  • be informed how to correct or keep that information up to date; and
  • be informed on how RSN and RRT are meeting its data protection obligations.

Furthermore, for data collected in the EEA, data subjects have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of such information to be sent to a third party;
  • ask for data to be erased if possible and required under the GDPR;
  • ask for processing of personal information to be restricted if possible and required under GDPR;
  • object to processing of personal information if possible and required under GDPR;
  • object to automated decision-making where applicable; and contact a supervisory authority in the EEA to lodge a complaint regarding RSN and RRT’s processing of your personal information.

Transfers Abroad

In connection with the services provided on our websites, we may transfer your personal data outside the EEA, including to a jurisdiction which is not recognized by the European Commission as providing for an equivalent level of protection for personal data as is provided for in the European Union. If and to the extent that we do so, we will ensure that appropriate measures are in place to comply with our obligations under applicable law governing such transfers. These may include executing Model Clauses approved for this purpose by the European Commission or, in respect of transfers from the EU to the United States of America, ensuring that the transfer is covered by the EU-US Privacy Shield framework pursuant to European Commission Decision 2010/87/EC.
